Dammit.

I was hoping they'd have a steal of a deal on a nice mid tower or micro tower ATX case w/ PSU. I need one *BAD*.

One of the deals of this sale is an Antec TruPower 430W PSU for $29.99 (99.99 less 35 instant savings & 35 mail-in).

Everything else of interest was sold out at the N. Olmsted CompUSA in Ohio.

Most of the good deals at CompUSA are switch and bate. This is done deliberately to draw us in to buy something else.
They do this more often each year b/c of their poor sales.
I was there around 6:02PM and all was gone. I was hoping they have changed but no luck. All blank DVDrs were gone, TDK brand and the Seagate drive was gone too.
So this is my last time doing this.

I wouldn't be so down on CompUSA. It really depends on the business of that particular retail store. It seems CompUSA issues these clearances (e.g. 9.99 for 3 25 packs of DVD+/-Rs) for their whole chain, and whether or not the product is in stock depends on the success of that particular store. There's a Best Buy right across the street from my local CompUSA, and so a lot of its sales get lost there. In result, when clearances like these happen, CompUSA is stocked to the brim with marked down items.

I imagine that if CompUSA is your main electronics retailer, though, you won't be as lucky.

Went over to mine around 6:15pm and there were stacks of the TDK DVD-R/DVD+R. As the previous poster said, it can have a lot to do with location. My CUSA is in the same parking lot as Circuit City, Target, Office Max and only a mile from a Best Buy, Office Depot and Kmart. So, I'd imagine they struggle to keep up. There weren't even that many people there at 6pm when I went, despite a lot of great deals. They had plenty of all the 6-10pm items in the flyer but I only needed the media. Almost wish I had bought another 3-pack...very good deal for $9.99/75 DVD's.

I showed up at 6:15, all gone, asked about the Gateway LCD and the guy said they had three and three guys were lined up before the store opened and took them. I groused around the store a few minutes, one manager type guy says you have to come early for the sales, and I say or better just don't come to Compusa. Stopped at the Circuit City across the street for a car stereo thing, and took a look at there LCDs, guy asks me if I am looking for anything special, and I say Compusa has one thats on sale, but it might have a rebate or something messy, and he says let me see what I can do. I come back from the car stereo part and he has one in a box for me, $159.

I haven't bought a thing from Compusa since they went squirrely a year or so ago, and I really have no plans to go back unless I need to use the toilet.

compUSA by far has the most rebates compared to any other electronic retailer. Its almost kind of annoying.

i just wanted to point out an ultra hot deal a friend and i just got in on.

Linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter with SRX, 802.11g, b

Product Code: 332273

Search that on the compusa site.

$44.99 (%50 off)

Pricewatch has it currently at $115 from newegg. This is SMOKING stock is limited but people overlook this stuff because it isn't marked for clearance and says $89.98 on the tag, but this moonlight sale will take that %50 off, so get those cards if you're runnin off a cheapass $20 no name wireless pci card. =)
