Is anyone else a compulsive spender?

A compulsive spender can be defined as someone who has no control over spending, right?

If, like in my other thread, I have $100.00 left over, I can't save it. I have to spend it. I find something to spend it on etc etc.

That is a compulsive spender, right? And I'm pretty sure its a trait of someone who has ADD.

Who cares if ADD is fake in your book, that's fine by me!

No, I know exactly what I'm spending my money on. Yes, I do need one dozen pair of fur lined speedo swim wear.

The thing is I pay all my bills, whether it be CC, gas, food, insurance, rent, etc. But I don't save the extra $ I have!!! LOL

So it isn't like I'm blowing all of my rent money and what not on things I truly don't need because I do pay everything first. That always comes firfst.

WTF do you buy? Booze and drugs I can understand. Anything else... and... you should probably kill yourself.

I think im an organized impulse buyer. I find what I supposedly need for my computer, read reviews then buy it. The reason i think this is compulsive is because all my cash goes into this one little blue box sitting next to my monitor.

My bills are rent, insurance, cell phone, food, and one cc card and gas card. It comes out to about $675.00 altogether and I have about $100.00 left over to spend or save. That's basically it. I split rent with my gf, $300.00x2. CC is $100.00 min payment. Gas card I pay $100.00. Insurance is about $150.00 a month. And the food is split between the two of us.

So basiscally you don't have that many expenses each month? Ok, well then it shouldn't be hard to save.

have them automatically take extra money out of your checks. or have them take out more for taxes which can be thought of as short term saving as it will come back later. or just have your parents set up a bank account which they only have access to and have your employer auto direct deposit a set amount into that account.

You gotta spend $ to save $

Seriously though I am very proud of myself, I made a nice $2,700 payment on my BOFA Alaska Airlines cc.

Avoided the temptation to buy a new car last weekend AND avoided buying a Dell Axim as well.

*pats myself on the back*
