im interested in taking this test because i fix a few computers on the side and id feel better telling people i have some sort of degree in fixing computers

Ive heard that you can get it cheaper other places, some as cheap as like 80 bucks each?

If theres any info i should know going into this it would be appreciated.

I bought a book awhile ago it most of it seems pretty basic, the only thing that might give me trouble is anything dealing with really old technology that i dont have that much experience with. For those who took the test how was it?

and just to clarify i have to take the first 2 tests right? should i take them on the same day? a few days apart? a week apart?

any info will help

I used to teach it. It changed a couple of years ago:

CompTIA

I took it about 3 weeks ago.

Cost me $75, but that was because it was through school. If it hadn't been through my college I would have had to pay $150+.

So if you are in college see if you can get it cheaper that way. I also know they occasionally have certificates for the test at reduced cost.

I took the tests about 2 years before the change - I believe I paid $90 because I was going through New Horizons. The price did go up though, and it sounds right for what you're quoting. You might be able to find discount codes as I used to get the emailed to me frequently to take tests for 50% off or so.

Wow...that's alot. Even the MS tests were only like $150 last I checked. Since this will enable you to get an $8/hr job at Best Buy it might take a while to break even.
