Try using a steel brush. It'll hurt like heck, but you can numb the pain with a little bit of salt water.

Sounds like you scratched your cornea. You should go to an eye doctor immediately.

And don't dare try what you're suggesting, just...no.
I've done that way more often than I'd like.. it fucking sucks. Sometimes it would feel like a nail was driven into my eye.

Going to the eye doctor was a tremendous waste of time though. All they had me do was come back a few times ($$$) and have me use OTC eye drops.

If I say "Tilt the compressed air can upside down so you can really get the compressed nutrients in your eye"

and say "J/K" at the bottom, is this an acceptable post?

Fast forward 11/14/12: New warning added to compressed air cans regarding non use of compressed air to clean eyes.

The problem is that your eye's lost pressure. You need to jam the end of that straw thing into your eye, and inflate it to sidewall.

It sounds like you have the eyeball equivalent of a hangnail. You should use a piece of sandpaper or a file to smooth it out.

So common sense is really this bad? You have to ask if blowing compressed air into your EYE is a good/bad idea?

Please be sure to turn the can upside down before spraying into your eye.

NO! Do not do that. Those cans are too small. Get a big jug of freon...R22 if you can find it.
