I prefer the SB Live! because it has digital out... but its not necessary for a lot of people.....

I dont know enough about the MBs to make a recommendation....

PP&C has the AVC sunflower clone for $19 with free ups ground shipping.

Another option would be the Arkua 8568 for $26 with free shipping. Review and review. It's supposedly quieter than the sunflower and cool slightly better.

SVC has AS3 for $4.99 with free shipping. Don't get the samsung ram from them though. It's not samsung on samsung pcb like Newegg but samsung on 3rd.

Antec 1030 clone with 420w powersupply is available at $59+$18 but the fan on the power supply is very loud. So it would be a good idea to buy a couple Panaflo L1 and replace the fan in the power supply. I have the case and power supply and it's powering a 1.6a@2.5 with no problem. SVC has the Panaflos for $5 each.

It shouldn't be hard if you know how to solder or splice wires. Solder is stronger but a bit more time consuming. You can splice the wires and insulate them with electrical tape or heat shrink tube.

Here's a link on how to solder and splicing (peel back insulation and twist).

Hmmm... I wonder how noisy it really is... I don't really feel like doing any soldering if I can help it, so I am more likely either to buy the clone and live with it or go with the authentic Antec.

Well it might be bearable to you. I might be over sensitive since one of the forte of a P4 rig over a AMD rig is noise and it's one of the main reason i got the 1.6a. I would say get the clone case and see if you can stand it. It's a great deal cheaper than the geniune Antec SX840.

KDcomputers has the Panaflo L1 for $3.25+Shipping!
