Component Vendors for countries that arent US

Ive been on these forums for just over 1 year now and Ive noticed that unless you are in the US, it can be hard finding advice on what to buy in other countries. I personally live in the UK and cant find some of the fancy parts like TMD fans or be able to buy a Thermalright heatsink without breaking the bank as well as my foot if I happen to drop it.

I propose to make a 'sticky' thread that contains a list of Vendors for the countries that arent America. Finding some of the items that you Americans can buy can be impossible or at least not as easy as it could be. I would like to compile a list of vendors from a multitude of countries so that people can add them to their list and check them out.

Im trying to find the words to use to put my main point accross but I cant seem to find them. Not everyone will have a large list of vendors and may not be able to find what they want in their list but be able to find it in their country/local area with someone elses list of vendors.

Moderators.... if you feel that this is the wrong spot for such a thing, move it and msg me so I can keep track of it please.

I live in the UK and if you dont mind, I'll start with my list. Most of the vendors I havent used so I'll tell you about the experiences Ive had with those I have bought from.

The sticky is much appreciated.

Its a pity bgeh. In my searching over the last month or so, Ive read a lot of threads in which you have posted and I thought that you might be a good source for Malaysian online stores. I just hope we can get some stores from other countries.

Adding comments from my experience with some of those places:

Originally posted by: Elcs

Crucial - Wide memory selection - used once, excellent service
Used several times, excellent service, one RMA quickly replaced no fuss. Very cheap for quality branded memory (and Radeons)

Dabs.com - used 3 times now, average price with good delivery
Used several times, good service, OK prices (occasionally poor, occasionally great, usually average), wide range - if not for specialist quality stuff.

Ebuyer.com
Used a couple of times, very cheap prices, wide range but not for specialist quality stuff. Possibly poor for returns

Overclock.co.uk - Good delivery, were a bit expensive but look reasonable now
Used a few times, quite good service, nice range for quality stuff.

Overclockers.co.uk - Havent used - ThermalRight supplier
Used a few times, quite good service, nice range for quality stuff.

The Overclocking Store
Used several times, price is inc. delivery so particularily good for buying "the little things", good range for quality stuff.

Shop4Memory
Not used, but large range of quality memory

Those places are the ones i check when buying, from experience I now rarely bother looking elsewhere. Some new places listed though so will have to check them out :)

Thanks for the replies. At the minute we have only UK stores. Helpful to us UK based people but not to many others. Dont be shy, this is aimed to help anyone. We currently have a query on vendors from Zimbabwe. Anyone that can help?

A list for Canada would be nice, I know of

http://www.atic.ca
Best prices I have seen in Canada, horribly designed website and haven't heard about their service. Their ordering system look awful as I don't think you can pay with a CC over the web (come on guys, it's 2003)

http://www.bigfootcomputers.com
These guys have lots of cooling gear and resonable prices although I haven't used them

http://www.ncix.com
Good website and resonable prices, but haven't used.

Of the vendors I've used in the UK;

Ebuyer - I'ved used them a few times with no problems at all, but only really stock mainstream stuff

Dabs - they arent the cheapest, but they're close, and they have a pretty big range

theoverclockingstore - cheap and free delivery! Can't knock them

aria - I've only used them once, with slight confusion over the order, but they sorted it out. Quite helpful customer service

scan - they aren't called Scam for nothing! I used them once, and never will again. In the end I got most of my money back. Enough said.

And 1 more store, a US one that ships abroad

sidewindercomputers - I bought an SK-7 and a fan filter from them, for £16. I paid extra for their faster shipping (£18!) and they arrived 2.5 days after they posted them! All in all, I got an sk-7, fan filter, (as well as a tube of generic thermal paste, a tiny tube of arctic alumina, and ten fan screws they threw in for free) for £34. Which is £13 less than a certain uk store charges, with slightly faster delivery! They do a cheaper shipping option - usps air, that takes about 1-2 weeks, but i was impatient!

Anyway, they were very friendly, and I can't recommend them enough.

Note - when buying from outside the EU anything less than £18 (before postage and packing) is excempt from VAT and duty. Above that and the price difference between the US and the UK is wiped out fast. Although sidewinder must have *accidentally* put a lower price on the customs form, so I would have been able to get away with more!

Very nice for that info. Ive got a list of about 10 US -> UK vendors and these are in it. I was skeptical that I could avoid taxes on quality products but now that you have said that, Im going to be a very happy person.

Can you give me a break-down of all the prices you paid including delivey options/prices? Either in PM or here. Much appreciated.

Sure, no probs.

The Sk-7 was $22.95 (£14.31)
The fan filter was $4 (£2.49)
Which made postage (using Global Express Mail) $28.75 (£17.93)

Which sounds steep, but it was damn fast considering it had an ocean to cross!
They will also send it Parcel post, if you like, which costs $20 (£12.47) for that weight (check the prices out at http://ircalc.usps.gov) , but that takes 4-10 days and you have to pay extra for insurance, if you want it.

I should say that I've had a friend in the US post me parcels before, using parcel post, and they would take about a week and a half, so its not that bad, but they do occasionally go missing. So i figured it was worth the extra fiver.

My only regret is that I didn't order the SLK-800, as since they marked the price on the customs form as less that it actually costs, I reckon if I asked them nicely that they would have marked the price of the 800 down, and I would have got it duty free! Oh well.

Sorry about the delay in replying - my new job is keeping me pretty busy - i haven't even had time to install my new XP2200!

OverClockers UK are the best of the lot imo.
I havent had much experiance with ordering online from them, but i only live round the corner, so why pay for delivery!!!, a friend has ordered online from them and hes very impressed with them.
Ive got all of my internal pc parts from OC UK.

Some German suppliers (I usually use the top 2)

http://www.alternate.de

http://www.mindfactory.de

http://www.avitos.de

http://www.pckauf2000.de

for overclocking supplies:

http://www.frozensilicon.de

http://www.overclockers.de

and my absolute favorite, a place where you can get a front plate custom made (for rheobus, LED or whatever)
http://www.schaeffer-apparatebau.de/ (shipment within europe)

for the majority of folks here, here's the North American part of the company
