Component Cable Switch

does anyone know of any decent and inexpensive component cable switches? I'm having a hard time finding these anywhere.

All i can find are RCA, S-video, and HDMI

I actually got the monoprice one for christmas, and a 5x1 HDMI switch, and a DVI detective. But I plan on putting my composite cables into the digital audio port and hoping that works.

They are both analog connections, that travel through the same exact wire. A switch for a component connection will work perfectly with a composite one, and vice versa.
 
I have the component switch that was linked to above, and I no longer use it. The problem I had with it is that it will ONLY put out the same signal that goes in. So, if you plug in an RCA device and a Component device, and then run component out to your TV, only the component device will work through the switch. This will not change an RCA in to a component out, or vice versa.

But if ALL you have is component connections going in, then it would work just fine.

that would work fine for me since all i have right now is component.
i just need to go to walmart and get one. maybe tomorrow.

So the composite switch can handle component even though composite uses 1 plug and component uses 3? How does the switch magically know to do this?

A component and composite cable are pretty identical except for the red and white cables have a different capacitance between the center conductor and the shield for audio. You can use a composite cable as component and 9 out of 10 joeblows can't tell the difference.

You can do Composite + Audio (3 RCA connections in, 3 RCA connections out)

OR

You can do Component + no audio (3 RCA connections in, 3 RCA connections out)

Component video caples are 75ohm and at least the video cable for a composite switch should be 75ohm. Hopefully the audio likes are 75ohm as well.

Component switch doing composite + audio will work.

Composite + audio switch doing Component will work but the only issue might be if the audio switching is not up to spec. It will likely still work fine though.
