Component and Composite Cables

yes, but composite only means the "yellow cable" so you can use 3 composite cables but you cannot always use the red and white audio cables as component cables without degrading the signal. This is due to the impedence of the cables. The yellow one is 75 ohms while the red and white cables are 50 ohms
 
so i can use the Component(Y, B-Y, R-Y) and plug those into the regular yellow video and white and red audio and everything work fine?

Which cables are you using. If you are using component cables for composite connections, that is fine, just not the reverse
