Complicated Gaming network problem!

Okay will try to make this simple, I cannot get this game Steel Beast to work through 2 routers I tried(D-Link and Effiecent 5660). But if I turn the 5660 router to bridge mode and use my dial up pppoe adapter that Pacific bell provided the game works online, my question is say I have this modem connected to a hub(right now its going straight to my Lan Card when I turn modem to router mode this 1 particular game will not work online, but when I turn it to bridge mode it will work online) will I still be able to turn modem on in bridge mode through a hub. Thats all I want to know? Thanks
