Wouldn't a decent NSA have advised Bush that his first Mideast Peace Initiative (aka ignore the problem and hope it goes away or nobody notices) and second Mideast Peace Initiative (aka sycophant praise for any and everything done by Ariel Sharon) would do tremendous damage to the US's global reputation and likely hinder the accomplishment of other foreign policy goals?

Do you think Condi went to DOD and said, "Hey, you morons keep kicking out all these gay linguists . . . why not just send them over to NSA for "indefinite collaborative leave" so we can do something with the backlog of intelligence data?
