Makes me want to test my chip over, never went above 150fsb for long, my 266mhz DDR cant take over 405mhz...maybe Ill try 166@1:1 next week when Im home

yeah i saw them but it's $168...

final word is...i don't have final word yet...cause as you see i posted the USB problem i am having...:|

but as for now...

P4 1.6A @ 2.736 171FSB (1.71v) 342DDR 2-2-2-6 <---- same as duvie...looks like we got the same chip...

the USB problem seems to happen only with Asus boards...what's up with that...:|

i didn't really that stick...but i set it to 163 with 3:4...scores was right around the same...so i am still sticking to 171...but now i have 1.0GB of ram...🙂
 
Well you guys made me check my chip.
1.6a 5/20/02 date, been running 150fsb @ 1.55v (BIOS) for months now, I put the mem at 1:1 with the FSB and my chip maxes out at 160fsb @ 1.625 (BIOS) ~1.68x actual. Temp was only 44'C after 5 hrs of prime95, but Prime runs for 24hrs+.
161fsb I get 2.75 hrs with Prime, 162 about 57 min, 163 about 7 min.
Oh well, a so so overclocker I guess, back to 151fsb 3:4 DDR403..I did get Cas 1.5 up to 160FSB though, not much higher than Cas2
 
well with granite bay its all gonna be 1:1 ratio.
everything will rely on the cpu OC ~ no more 3:4 ratio crutch 😛
 
Well,depending on the tests from Thugs, Duvie, SupermanCK (Im sure there are 2 or 3 consitant limit testers i missed), maybe Ill grab a GB board.....
 
Dont know, but I followed Thugs lead and started getting some funds up....got someone in line that might want my P4B533 setup....fingers crossed!
 
i bet in a month or two there would be tonz of Asus P4B533 board on sale over at FS/FT forum 😉
along with B0 stepping chips...
cause C1 are starting to appear too...at least in OEM system

you mean I gotta wait a month so i can get 1 to replace my intel board so i can oc? arrrggh... i was thinking of 2 weeks... looks like i gotta go order 1.....
 
check the date of the post...it was dated 11/07/02...so it's been more than a month...in fact...it's almost 2 months ago
