Yes. But he has a disclaimer that you must already own the dvd's, and the ones he is selling are for backup purposes only. I'm not sure if that gets him off the hook though.

Yeah. He's got the disclaimer, but then he also says "Why spend $150 PER SEASON when you can have the ENTIRE SERIES for the same amount or less?"

That sort of negates the disclaimer. :p

he's probably an undercover agent...

but let's face it, as soon as they are out on DVD they will be spread around the internet at light speed, I'm already able to download 80% of the TNG episodes and 50% of Voyager episodes in decent quality from the campus file sharing program...

So you can download the episodes using P2P. Does that make it right, or in your opinion is it ok because you aren't buying and selling their intellectual properties?

geez, he is just stating the way things are. He is not condoning it. Like it or not, people are doing this.

It didn't get mp3.com off the hook with the RIAA a few years ago, when they had that mp3 storage locker lawsuit.

He is still making a profit by selling someone else's work. If he was only charging for the cost of the CDs he might have an argument.
