I think they log the IP address.. not sure.

so if you and your brother, sister, mom, dad, uncle, etc wanna sign up in your computer, I suggest disconnect and reconnect. =)

Anyways, My brother and I signed up. Hope it comes.

i also heard something about tracking either registry or your browser ID. does anyone know anything about this? i've only submitted once, but i didn't want to risk not having ANY gift certificates come in due to submitting multiple entries. i'm sure Intel has some advanced set-up to track multiple submissions from same computer/location.

Yeah "Sorry Closed"
You guys are getting paraniod..
It is (was) coming from Marshall Rice and Associates
server. Not Intel.. Don't forget those of you who
bought-into Intel Cpus to lock the CPU-ID access.

I know this is OT
But How do you turn that ID thing off...
I know that there was a whole deal about this when the P3 first came out.
I believe there is some software that you can use...right?
any help is appreciated..

DealSpreeDotCom, as I rememeber you need to download the software from Intel. I wonder if they still have it. Anyhow I believe a little later most OEM chips already turned off the chips, but I could be wrong.

sorry, that one wasn't right. try this link.

if the link doesn't work, you can search for "Processor Serial Number Control Utility."

or turn it off in the bios setup, which you enter by hitting <del> (some of the time).

I just received this today. I did the survey twice, once I got a pop-up window at the Intel site, and the second one I cut and pasted the link from here. I only got the GC from the survey I completed from the Intel site itself.
