I finally finished the 4 month project, and everything is going wrong. The CPU is not stable at stock volts and speeds, the PSU is wayy undervolting, and the HD just went out on me. A few questions about returning items. Firstly, the readings I got for the PSU are from the BIOS health checker deal. The 12v line was at 10.4v.... and everythign else was slightly under. The cpu wasnt even stable at slightly over stock voltage, checked by cpuz, so I assume that is good enough reason to RMA it. The HD was working fine, and then the computer froze, and I tried and restarted and it couldnt boot off of the HD. The weird thing is that I put it in another computer, and it told me it couldnt read the hard drive, but then in windows I could see it and use it. I tried restarting and putting it in other computers, and it wouldnt boot up with it. I assume this falls under warranty as well.

Anyways, I am pretty bummed out about it all, and am hoping to get it all set up soon.

Please correct any assumptions about warranties that I have made, and give any suggestions as to actions I should take.

How long do returns usually take?? I have never had to return anything before.

Thanks.

EDIT: Sorry yes its the system in spec

Returns/RMAs take ~two weeks in my experience.

I'm willing to bet some money that the Chaintech nF4 motherboard is behind some of those problems. Check the PSUs voltages with a multimeter. Cause if the rail readings are correct, RMA that PSU immediately.

You really should troubleshoot which of the parts is giving you problems. It can't be all of them... I hope not. But if your PS is that bad then it might be making everything else look like there's something wrong with it.

I am pretty sure its all of the parts, because the week 35 winchesters are known for their bad memory controllers, and the hard drive doesnt work right in other computers either. I will take mrcodedude suggestion about the multimeter as soon as I can, and hopefully the PSU is fine.
