(Complete Disaster) Will T-mobile $70 unlimited plan work with Nexus 4?

Nevermind - Google is sending me a new phone.

UPDATE 2/14/13: T-Mobile kept saying the IMEI was invalid, and couldn't get it activated. They also managed to block the activation code, so I have to get another SIM card shipped from them at MY expense. F that. I spent about an hour back and forth with them. On top of that, the number would need to be ported.

Google is sending me a new phone just in case the IMEI is indeed invalid.

Between arguing with them and my sister, I don't even care if I threw the phone in the garbage at this point.

OLD OP ----

Going to buy it for my sister, but at T-Mobile they insisted that it won't work. I almost punched the salesman in the face after he told me LITERALLY that I don't know WTF (he actually said the F word) I am talking about.

Needless to say, I got kicked out the store.

Now I have doubts about the whole thing. I already have the $30 plan on my own Nexus.

my wife and I are on prepaid $60 and $70/month plans.
I just got her nexus4 activated today...just went down to the T-mo store and got the new micro sim (old phone was a mytouch3g).
5 minutes on the phone when I got home and it works perfectly.
My phone comes Monday. I anticipate no problems.

go back and kick the salesman in the nuts.

It will work. I'm with them with galaxy nexus. No issues. As long as u get the micro sim card ur golden.

Yeah, I just logged into my T-Mobile account and it's finally showing up as an option, I remember checking days ago and it wasn't available. Dealing with my sister and the salesman pissed me off.

Can't wait to get this over with.

The T-Mobile store refused to sell me one for 99 cents. They wanted $20. I am already drafting a BBB complaint against the store.

Guy really pissed me the hell off.

If it is a corporate store, then they should sell you one. Although lots of stores won't because the people want to make money. A call to corporate to file a complaint might help.

If it is a non-corporate store, then they are the worst and will always charge for it. They don't follow corporate rules as much I think.

I prefer to just get the SIMs from the website, they usually send them in 2-3 days for $1. Even ebay sellers have them for $1.

I don't see why not. I popped in my AT&T SIM that was in iPhone 4 and it worked right away w/ Nexus 4. Ordered 2 SIM kits online.

It had a big T-Mobile logo out front, so I guess they are official. Last time I made a complaint, it was against a Verizon Store in Yonkers, NY. They called me to apologize, and all I asked was for the salesman to go into retraining. I didn't expect a "prize" in return.

I'll be asking the same thing this time. I can be a huge dick when I want to be.

Since we are on the topic of sim cards...

I have the old school style big sim card.

I am getting a N4 soon.

I am currently on a value plan with Tmobile.

Can I walk into the store and get new sim cards for 1 dollar?

If you already have an account, the TMobile store (or any phone provider, really) will issue you a new SIM card if you need it.

I tried my hardest to get a couple of tmobile store to give me a nano sim so I could activate it online and couldn't do it. But, once I ordered a micro sim from the website, got it in and activated it on the $30 plan, I was able to waltz in to the store and have them swap and activate me on a nano sim no problem.

Probably, since now you are a customer and they know they can't sell you anything else since you already have the service.
Or you could just do this and trim your current SIM down. If you fail at cutting it, then you can go to the store.

She must be attractive. They usually cost around $10.

Tmobile corporate stores are inconsistent. My friend tried to swap his regular T-Mobile SIM for microSIM. One store wanted $20 and wouldn't bulge. Another store gave it to him for free without any problem. It's should be free but there are plenty of morons working at the stores.

The store I went to last month wanted to charge me $35 for that.
I said screw that.

when I asked for a nano sim. I spoke with online CSR to confirm I can get one for my iphone 5 (due the following week), the ahole worker insist that he has to be the one that swaps the chip. F'ing douche bottle didn't even check the notes that that online CSR left and wasted my time. Called and complained and they just credit me the price of the Sim so I can just purchase one in person. Problem solved.

Just FYI.

No Tmobile store in my Area that I called was willing to give me a free sim card or change me 1 dollar. Everyone varied from 10-20 bucks.

I called Tmobile and politely asked, and they will send me a new sim card. The downside? They said it won't arrive til the 14th x_x. Talk about slow.

Is your sisters current phone on T-Mobile network or another network? If it's on another network then that would explain why the T-mobile staff said it wont work as it would need to be unlocked first.

It's a brand new Nexus 4.

I just ended up buying her the SIM card and had it shipped overnight. It's just sitting here looking pretty since the snow is keeping her from bringing the phone over to activate it.

I am just trying to figure out how to port her current mobile number from boost to T-Mobile's $70 plan.

Reading the note, sounds like a user error. Be polite and they'll work with you easily. SIM cards are virtually throwaway items and the 70/month they could make off you is worth their time.
