Damn stupid horizontal camera shooting, how dare they shoot an historic event like that, amatures! And god that's thing is larger than two elephant turds. you know it's always the skinny short people that can eat the most. Or it seems that way. Wonder how much that prime would cost?

And caveman you living in Big Sky Country?

Counted at least seven errors...amateur.

Eating like this should be a crime if it's meat. Killing animals for sustenance is one thing...killing them to waste is quite another.

Assuming they don't throw up after eating it, is it still a waste?

Also, and not to knock the idea of using food for constructive purposes, but here in CT we have a big push for limiting food waste going on (billboards etc.). Just our Stop & Shop grocery stores alone produce nearly 20 tons of food waste per day from "old, bruised, wilted, inedible rejects and left-overs" (although now those tons of food are being recycled instead of thrown in landfills)

So 20 tons of food waste daily just from one grocery store chain in one state in one country vs. someone who is actually eating a massive amount of food...meh.

Note that I am also not particularly in favor of killing for sport...imo if you're going to kill an animal, eat it, because it gave its life for you. I'm no vegan, but I do believe in treating animals with respect, especially since they produce so much food for us.

Ah, the old "If a second person is also doing something bad, the first person is no longer doing something bad" gag.

No, that's not what I meant at all. Assuming the competitive eater didn't just throw up the food, was it really a waste?

Well, at least this food passed through someone's mouth and it served as an effective ad for the restaurant.

I was at a Starbucks this week; at 10 PM they opened the display and threw out all the remaining food in there. I watched thinking that 5 minutes earlier, they would have sold me that food instead of tossing it. Now imagine that happening at thousands of Starbucks every day.

I feel the same way about the heartless demons who kill poor, helpless little plants and put them on my cheeseburger, forcing me to pull them off and throw them away. Such a terrible waste of innocent plant lives!

My friend managed a Starbucks & had massive amounts of free take-home food every. single. day. And their food is pretty dang good! She got sick of it eventually but would always drop us off a gift bag. That's how I was introduced to cake pops. Oh myyyyyy.

Haha, that's great! Although I'd have to say that I eat meat because I love beautiful plants and don't want to see them heartlessly slaughtered just to satisfy some vegetarian's uncontrollable lust for fiber..

I keep thinking about this story. That woman looks like she could be 9 months pregnant, and would have less mass inside her abdomen than she would from eating that much beef. And with a baby, she would have lots of time for things in there to adjust. Not so in this case!

Makes me wonder if she had to take a few days off after this, recupe. I'm sure there's a joke in there somewhere; girls who can handle that much meat something something, but I just can't. I think my stomach is having sympathy pains.

Very flexible stomach lining, high tolerance for pain/discomfort, low gag reflex, and a lot of practice. Probably similar to several other competitive sports.

Wow,this pretty much sums up my new girlfriend.Shes a keeper.😛 im kidding kind of.

I tried the Big Texan once. I figured I was there and probably never would be again, so why not. Didn't come close to finishing it. Can't imagine what the next few days must be like.
