Hello!

I need few suggestions, first one is about ram and second about power supply.
My motherboard died, so I need a new one + cpu, and I'm gonna add new ram, ssd 120GB

So the current configuration looks like this:
AMD FX 8× 9370 BOX Black Edition (the one I plan to buy now)
Asrock 990FX Extreme9 (the one I plan to buy now)

Nvidia GTX570 (planing to buy 770 soon)
Scythe Stronger SPSN-060P 600W 80Plus
Other... SSD120GB, HDD500GB, optical drive dvd/rw, few fans...

1) ram
Which one to buy? Which one will work for sure?
My research... Cpu fx9370 it's written that it works with 1866MHz, and not of the RAM's are tested/on support list of the motherboard
I do know that some are using 2400MHz ram, no clue how, some setup is needed in bios or anything, I am a newbie
I'm from Croatia, common RAM's here I can buy... Gskill, Kingston...

2) PSU
As written above, stronger spsn-060p 600W 80Plus, is this psu solid, enough or low for the above mentioned configuration, do I need to get a new one?

Thanks!

Particular reason that you're going with the AMD 9370? There are far better CPUs for the money.

This. Just say no to 220W TDP CPUs that are slower than the equivalent Intel.

OP, what's your budget?

Budget doesn't matter, from benchmarks I've seen fx beats Intel and it's cheaper
Should I get fx8350?
What mobo should I get then so I could use 1866MHz ram or maybe higher, what u suggest

Beats Intel at what? I've seen AMD better at video encoding, file compression, and very little else. And that's without taking into account recent AVX2 optimizations for Intel Haswell.

What do you intend to use your new system for? And answering the rest of [thread=80121]these questions[/thread] would help too.

FX-8350 = $200
i5-4670K = $240 or 20% more

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/837?vs=697
* Cinebench R10 Single Threaded: i5-4670K performs 70% better
* 7-Zip: FX-8350 performs 40% better

These are the extreme cases that show that the single core of an i5-4670K is massively faster, while the FX-8350 is noticeably faster if all eight cores are utilized efficiently. Most tasks, however, will benefit much more from having a few fast cores compared to having several slow cores. This includes games. If you're going to be gaming, the FX-8350 is a bad pick. If you're going to be doing heavily multithreaded work and don't need an IGP, you'll get the same multithreaded performance with a $250 Intel Xeon E3 1230 V3, with the single threaded performance of an i5. AMD makes more sense for budget systems (FX-6300 or an APU).

In addition to the above, i5-4670K (along with the Xeon) consumes much less power (which over time will narrow the gap in cost), has in IGP, and can be upgraded to an even faster processor like an upcoming Broadwell i7.
