compatiblity issue with 8rda+

Today I was trying to use a corsair xms pc2400 256mb stick on my 8rda+, but it can't pass the memory test(the led on the board indicates C1 and beeps), and there's no video output. Has anyone experienced this kind of problem? Or anyone has different opinion on this problem?

Here are a couple of things you could try. They have worked for others on other forums.

1) Put the DIMM in the slot closest to the CPU.
2) In the BIOS, there is a setting called 'CPU Interface' -- try setting that to 'Optimal'.
3) I had to up the vdimm voltage on my XMS memory to get it to run smoothly. On my board, the vdimm runs lower then the setting in the BIOS (BIOS set to 2.77, MBM5 reports 2.70). You might try tweaking it up a little.

2), I can't even get the bios setting part since I got no video signal

If you have another memory module, use it to get into the BIOS and manually set the RAM timings, then save and exit, turn the system off and put the Corsair module in. That's what I seem to recall being the workaround.

Incidentally, what version is your module, does it say v. 1.something on the module's sticker?

I guess you'll either have to test that RAM in another computer (to make sure it's working OK), or try another stick in the mobo. I forgot that the board stops at a C1 error, and doesn't let you continue into BIOS.

Now it's winter break, no one is around anymore. But anyway, I guess I can just sneak into a college computer lab to borrow a stick of ram

What video card are you using?
Have you tried it in another board?

That's what I'm worrying about acctually, I guess it's very possible that the video card isn't working properly, if that's the deal, I'm in trouble...
The problem is I don't have anyone around me seems to be willing to let me break down there machine and test my parts.

You might want to double-check that the card's in all the way. AGP slots have two layers of contacts in them, and if you only get past the first set then it's not going to work. If you can see the gold contacts on your card, it's only halfway down... rock it and apply firm pressure.

There are several reports of GF4 dying on 8RDA+.
What videocard are you using?

I just tested my vcard on a college rig, it runs.

No, I haven't since I can't get a stick of ddr, the college computers only have pc133..
