The AMD website has a list of compatible memory module chips that can be used with their socket 939 Athlon 64 processors. My question is...how do you determine what type of chips a certain stick of RAM is built with? If you go to the websites of manufacturers like Corsair, Kingston, and Crucial, they don't have detailed lists of the model number chips that are used on their various types of RAM. This makes it somewhat hard to match the AMD list with actual products. I'm sure AMD didn't make the list for end-user builders like me, so how can I determine what chips different sticks of Ram consist of?:|
