I think he meant, will the ram function properly on that board or will there be stability issues.

The best thing to do is to check with both manufacturers.

Iron Woode i thought what i posted was right. he linked to ddr2 memory the board (Supports Dual channel DDR2-800/667/533 Un-buffered Non-ECC memory). I clearly posted the link, and the specs on the board. i guess you would know better.

sometimes ram can behave oddly on certain boards.

While I understand that the ram may physically fit the board and the specs may be correct; it doesn't always mean that there will be no issues.

Abit should list a compatibility chart to show which ram has been tested to work with your board. This ensures stability. And aids in diagnosing any system issues that come up.

If you wish to push your ram to the edge, then this is the kind of info you require.

I also found a list of "supported vendors" on Abit's website; G.Skill isn't listed. It doesn't seem like it'd be that big of a deal, but I would really like it to work. What about this? It would only be used for some minor OCing, and Corsair i listed as a compatible brand.

Corsair is a known good brand of memory. kingston/ocz/Crucial/GeIL these are all good brands. What you could do is look for some reviews of AW8, and see what memory the reviewers have used.

Yeah, I did just that. A couple reviews I saw used the Corsair RAM, as well as a "Uber Intel Rig" component list I saw.
