Comparison of video performance question?

Currently I have motherboard/CPU combo that is Athlon 64 x2, 8 Gig ddr2 ram with a separate 1 Gig ATI 6770 video card, and for what I do (mostly DDO and occasional older 3D shooters) it works fine.

Given the season and the number of deals out there, I'm considering a serious upgrade.

I was wondering how this would compare to what I currently have:

I'm somewhat skeptical of onboard GPU performance versus a separate video card but I'm willing to keep an open mind in case the technology has improved considerably. I realize I'd need to pick up some ddr3 ram of course too.

Any thoughts?

From a CPU standpoint, it would blow away what you currently have.

The onboard video is equivalent to a 7670, which is a bit slower than your 6770. Although you could easily just keep your 6770 if you wanted. The 6770 has faster memory (Assuming its a GDDR5 version) and just more raw GPU power.

For the price is not a bad upgrade though.
