Hey, I'm looking at the "Samsung LN40A450" and the "Samsung LN37A530" televisions and am wondering which one to get.

The key specs are:

LN37A530 is 37 inches, 1080p, $1099
LN40A450 is 40 inches, 720p, $960

Given that information, can I get some input and opinions on which one would be better?

Provided you aren't sitting really close to it I would get the 450. 37" is pretty small and I doubt you would notice any benefit from 1080p at that size.

unless you are going to use it as a PC monitor or sit less than 5 feet away, go for the 720p version. Now if it is a PC monitor and only blu-ray (no TV) then go for the 1080p version. After all...TV is going to be 1080i or 720p meaning that every signal will need to be scaled coming into the TV. Where with the 720p (if true 720p resolution) won't need to be scaled on the 720p set, only the 1080i signal.
