Comparing these two LCD monitors

My current monitor is dying (i think), but it's got a warranty from Costco, they'll likely end up paying me with something like store credit. They don't have much of a selection of monitors, i wasn't looking for an LCD, but that's all they have that's any good. They have two, one here and one here

Which one seems better? What are the main drawbacks of LCD monitors? I know someone with the Sceptre monitor, it's pretty nice but looks to be harsh on the eyes. I would assume the other is probably similar. I'll likely end up not getting either of them, but looking for some opinions/info anyways.

I wouldn't choose either one. With that setup you have in your sig, you probably play computer games. 25ms response time monitors aren't recommended (lower is better.) The reason why the Sceptre is harsh on the eyes is because the LCD is too bright. Just turn down the brightness in the menu settings and you'll be fine.

If you don't play games, however, these monitors are not too bad. The native 1600x1200 resolutions on these LCDs would make gaming difficult, especially running on a 9800 Pro.

Ok, thanks. I figured that might be the case...hopefully costco gets some 20+ inch CRT monitors soon...very soon =/
