Comparing airline amenities

Obviously price is the biggest factor when flight shopping, but on my cross-country flight to Vegas next month, a number of airlines have nearly identical prices and times, so I should decide between other perks, like whether you get food, the type of movie/entertainment, comfort, etc.

Is there a good site that compares major airlines and their types of planes for these amenities? Google found nothing, and any search for comparison either yields consumer reviews (mostly rants about lost luggage) or price comparison. Thanks.

Edit: for this trip specifically, I'm comparing Delta, JetBlue, and US Air, but if there's a more general resource that'd be great, too.

for domestic flights/airlines, they are all equally sucky

if you were talking about an international flight, on business or first class, to somewhere like asia , then there are differences

I'm cheap, so I fly American Eagle or Southwest, both of which suck pretty bad. American Eagle seems to suck a bit less because they aren't as busy.

jetblue wont have anything because theyre a discount carrier
generally all us based airlines are the same. i prefer AA because usually they have lots of free seats. i avoid SW for the opposite reason. i fly CO because i have status with them. but for features and amenities its all the same.

if you do find out what exact airPLANES your flights are, then you could check for good seats or pick those with individual interactive headset monitors etc

I hate AA because they almost exclusively use decrepit ass Super 80s on domestic routes. It makes a Southwest flight feel like you're traveling Business Class. On average AA has the rudest flight attendants I've come across as well.

Unfortunately for the longest time AA was the only airline that flew direct to the majority of the places I wanted to go (usually at full capacity). These days I usually favor SW or Frontier depending on the destination.

I fly long distance business class with British Airways regularly and it's f*n awesome
your own little cocoon seat that folds down to a bed
awesome VOD system
great food that you can choose from a menu
champagne all that you can drink
....

it's a little bit pricy


edit: just read that it's for an US cross country flight
disregard my opinion about BA

Never flown JetBlue, but the inseat tv would be a good deal for a cross country flight.

Business class? I am sure ALL business classes are f*n awesome considering the price.

On my trip to Japan, I thought Singapore Airlines flight food was pretty decent. Domestically, all I've ever gotten was a soda and bag of nuts.

Go JetBlue, bring your own food (who wants to eat crappy airline food anyways, not to mention pay through the nose for it).

Yeah, JetBlue seems to have the most leg room, too (34" vs 32" or 31" elsewhere) according to seatguru (which I've used before, but didn't know it was that extensive). Considering my height, that's a plus. And I can't believe I caught myself trying to choose between flights that offered one snack or unlimited snacks or whatever. Sure that feels nice to get something for "free," but is it that much harder to pay $10 in the terminal and bring what you want with you?
