Comparable AM3 Board?

I was hoping to get an i5 for my first build, but I won't have the cash for it (damn homecoming). So I'm considering using a x4 Phenom II 965 Black Edition, because it's cheaper and the highest rated CPU on Newegg.

I was going to use this Intel 1155 board, but I won't be needed that if I go AMD. I want an AM3 board for hopefully around the same price with comparable specs.

I understand that things like PCIe 3.0 aren't possible without Ivy Bridge, but I have a GTX460 2win card, which is old enough that I don't think it will matter. I'm also still considering either the i3-3240 if I can't find a good AMD board.

I think ill be going with the Asus board if I end up AMD. For a gaming rig, would you recommend the Phenom II or the i3-3240?

Phenom II x4 or FX 6100 as i really wouldn't recommend a dual core these days ?

Yeah thats what I figured. One more question: will the board come with SATA cables for two bare HDDs?

yes most of all boards come with at least 2 sata cables now
