trying to make a home-fashioned laptop battery? not to rain on your parade, but wouldnt it be easier and even cheaper to just buy one, hehe. think they're like $120 at compaq.

Nope, I'm more or less just trying to test & charge. The circuitry may or may not be fried, so I'd like to test it...
