My bad. They went cheap with this one. Every other Compaq deal I've seen lately has been with PC3200.
The deal they had on July 1st for a Compaq for $199AR was much better than this. 512MB of PC3200, 160GB HD, DVD+-RW/CD-RW, Sempron 3000+.

Bummer, it's a Socket 462 Sempron. Are most of the 3000+ or below Semprons K7 or K8?
no..as that usually will denote a different(K8) proc with a proper socketed(s754/s939) mobo.. also Sempron at the moment is either 754 or A ..soon will be 939 as well..hopefullyIf the ad mentions upgrading the CPU (to an Athlon 64), RAM, and HDD for, say, $100, does that usually mean the Sempron is a K8?
