Holy Jeepers! Isn't this hot? 240 shipped to where I am. The P900 went for 300 from this same place. I believe the diamondtron technology is somewhat equal to trinitron if I'm not mistaken. Also, it comes with a 3 year warranty which seems friggin sweet.

Seems like a good deal, hit it up.

Not to rain on the party but doesn't the Viewsonic PF790 have the same tube and isn't it cheaper? It has a less resolution max at 1600x1200 but no one uses 1940 resolution anyways. I know this is refurbished and Grade C but I thought this might be an alternative to those who need to save that extra $50+. Compgeeks PF790 Refurb $169 Shipping was only $12 for UPS Ground for me.

I got in on the P900 deal about 6 mos. ago and love it! How close is this going to be to that, picture quality wise? CDW probably won't have the P900 again, or else I'd grab another one in a heartbeat!

I also got the P990 a few months back. Perfect Sony FD Trinition monitor.

Is this Diamondtron tube made by Mitsubishi, or someone else??? Is the DiamondTron a shadow mask tube? How does it compare to the Trinitron?

Hot deal. A Diamondtron tube. I got the P900 Trinitron back in the day (2 of 'em). These come with a fantastic 3-year Compaq warranty.

Great Deal! Yeah, Diamondtron is made by Mitsubishi. Excellent monitor. Too bad I spent almost a $100 dollars more getting a Diamond Pro 920 during the Gateway deal back in Feb . Oh well.

The P900 was a Sony Trinitron tube. This P910 is Compaq's newer model, which uses the Mitsubishi Diamondtron NF tube. The quality of these two monitors should only be within a few percent of each other. I think this is hot. I'd be all over it if I didn't already have that P900.

Def is a nice deal. If I didnt pick up a 21" Sony G500 this would be a consideration. Another one I would consider would be this one.

I've ordered from CDW. You can trust them. It's a publicly traded company and I've always received prompt service.

I'm tempted to order this, but I don't really need a monitor now. I'd rather buy an excellent 19" flat than a 15"LCD and still save $$.

I was going to get in on the 955DF, but this looks like it may be a better monitor. CDW headquarters is only 3 miles from my work. We buy all our hardware and software from them - 100K per year plus. They rarely have really hot deals, but for personal purchases I can't beat calling in an order for will-call and running over there at lunch to pick up a cable or whatever. They have a small "showroom" attached to their huge warehouse and admin offices, and it is always packed. You wouldn't know that the economy is in a slowdown if you walk in there. Maybe I will get lucky and they will have one of these on display, but with limited space they only seem to have high ticket items like 17" LCDs in the showroom.

No shipping costs for me, but about 8% tax. Now if someone can give me a hot deal on fitting a 19" monitor box in a '97 Neon. ;)

The P910 does NOT have the dual inputs of the P900.

It is a little hard to compare CRT monitors selling today with those that sold 7 months ago. Prices have continued to fall on CRTs.

BTW A customer service rep at Dell told me that Dell in getting flooded with returns from people who are buying Flat Screen CRTs thinking they are getting Flat Panel monitors. When the customer is told the additonal cost $$$ of a big flat panel, they want to return the whole package.
