I went to OD ( bay area, CA) today to check out this laptop. The price is only $749. Brand new. I scored one. Just FYI.

A couple of things of note:

1. It DOES have an ethernet port.
2. Max res is only at 800x600, as mentioned earlier.
3. 66mhz System Bus? yeck.. I thought mobile celerons moved to 100mhz along time ago...

Is it worth it? I'm going to college this fall, good starter computer? I mean, I could always use it as a souped up DVD player =X. Haha.

Fellow Bay Area-er (grammar check) here.. Which OD did you purchase yours from? I checked San Jose locally and only came up with a display model that they are saying "can't be sold to me."
