My local Sears has the mv540 for $110. I bought 3 for my kids school. There is a $150 rebate on each one so I figure 110+110+110=330-150-150-150=$120 in my pocket.I also have a $25 coupon from Sears so I get a total of $145 back. I submitted the rebates online and they were accepted. On top of that the boxes show the orginal price of $299.99 so I will get a $900 tax donation since they were donated to his school.:)

My local Sears had them for $219.97

Sears pricematches though, if only I could find someone who still carries this monitor.

Frank--sounds like I may have lucked out. Anyhow, the number for my local Sears is 785-830-2003 and I certain they would confirm the price. Ask to speak to Cory, Matt or Brian.

The link for the rebate is www.compaq.com/athome/DBR

Good luck.

I didn't get to stop by Sears, but I was a CompUSA (Monrovia, CA) and saw this monitor (appears to be floor display in like-new condition) for $158 and change. With rebate you get it for $8 and change. Not as good as making money on this deal, but not bad. There were two on the shelf.

CompUSA is too far away, but I'll call to see if they have any and maybe Sears will pricematch them.
