Compaq IPAQ Compact Flash Speed?

how fast can the 3635 write to the compact flash? i don't want to buy flash that is too slow or too fast.... thanks!

That being said, CF speed differences tend to be exaggerated especially when used in consumer devices. I'd just buy whatever is cheap.

Once you get past infant mortality, I don't believe so. All the CF on market are manufactured by a handful of companies. However, if you are that concerned, any big name brand will do since they will probably provide better support than say mr flash.

Also consider battery life. Some compact flash cards drain the life out of batteries quicker than others.

The tranfer rate if awful though the cradle no matter what brand CF you use. Need to get me a USB CF writer...

Yeah, I have a 3635 and tranfer data though the cradle and its really SLOWWWWWWW. My friend has a Jornada but he uses a Flash reader/writer instead, says it's way faster. Gonna get one when I get some money together, hope this helps...
