Just curious if anyone here knows anything about this? I'm setting up CIM 7 now and have a couple questions. No need to bore people if noone knows though 😉
 
I know enough to know that I know very little about it. However, Compaq does have ActiveAnswers on their site, which I believe is a forum that Compaq personnel post answers to. As I recall, they said to expect answers within 3 days.

Hey, how bout letting me know if it works for you.....ActiveAnswers that is. I think you just register. I did, and verified that would not keep other people from my company from registering. I've got some warnings that won't go away that I've gotta dig into.

OK, here is the link in my email. I know you have to register. I'm not sure if you have to be a business user or not. We have Compaq everything...servers, drives arrays, and tape backup arrays.

As far as warnings.....I've got some that won't go away, even tho I think I've reset everything. Actually, I really don't use it....just kinda got caught up in this. And....it's only ver. 5.2. Just from my little reading, I think that is quite primitive compared to ver. 7.

Yeah, we use Compaq everything as well. I'm in charge of our new CIM 7 server. We had XE but the upgrade to 7 required a better processor speed, so now we have a whole new server. For some reason many of our servers are coming up unknown now, when they we're fine before. I'm going to give them a call. Don't want to wait 3 days for an answer 🙂
