Compaq Evo D500 Celeron system

Hi all,

Just looking for a little guidance for my little SFF home computer. I bought a Compaq Evo D500 Celeron system with a 1.0 GHZ Celeron chip in the system. I have looked everywhere I could think of, but can find no upgrade path for this machine. All I would like to know is how high a Celeron chip I could put into this machine without replacing the board. I am happy with the performance, just would like to upgrade the chip down the road.

Thanks in advance for any help and guidance.

You should be able to stick a P3-Tualitin in there, those only go up to 1.133 ghz, so I'm not sure its worth it for you.

Actually the PIII Tualitin went up to 1.4Ghz. Mwave.com still has a few but they are kinda pricey. They've got the 1.2 Ghz version for $119 I think. What chipset is in the D500?
