Is there a way for this laptop to retain the max brightness setting when using the battery? I contacted Compaq support and they said this was an XP thing where the lcd goes to the lowest brightness setting automatically to save power and there was no way to change this...
I have seen some other drivers for other Compaq laptops that address this issue, but can't find one for my model...
