Bought a 24" Sony GDM-FW900 from them, nice monitor!
 
sheik do you know if there are any reviews about the samsung to back it up? I think its a nice monitor i just want to see how it stacks against the viewsonics and NECs
 
NEC, between my 2 systems, my older one has one of the first 19" monitors made by NEC in 1996, still has beautiful color and supports 1600x1200 @ 85hz, my newer system has a 19" Daytek Flatscreen CRT.
 
Get a Sony CRT.
I have three at home and all of them are still working well.
The oldest 17" sony 200E I got with my Pentium II 300 rig, and it is able to do 1024x768 @ 75Hz

Yea I have used the samsung 997df. poor focus, bad small text,moire problems, horrible control layout and the screen is not close to being flat, it's just a regular curved crt screen. it's also really grainy to top it off. the only thing it has going for it is exteremely good colors.
 
Seems like no ones said anything bad about the ViewSonics... I remember those back when Sony was making CRTs... they were the 2nd choice for a good CRT since Trinitrons were so darn expensive... I wonder if they've kept the QC up since Sony closed its CRT Division?
 
Viewsonic CRT's are great. I've never seen one I didn't really like. The G90FB wold be a great choice IMO.
 
I got the ViewSonic G95Fb... I was trying to find the P95f+ but hardly anyone carried it and if they did, they were refurbs or got horrible reviews from resellerratings.com

Anywho, If anyone cares I'll let ya know how it works out. Btw I ordered it Tonight (Tuesday night) and put it on 2nd day fedex... do you think it will get here before friday? I'm just curious cuz i kinda need it for this weekend so i can finish building my rig. cant see crap without a monitor ya know heh 😛
