Compairing AIW RADEONS: 9800 vs. 9700???

TIA for any help.

I'm trying to figure out if its worth the price difference between the 9700 AIW PRO and the 9800 AIW PRO.
Newegg has the 9800 AIW P for $394 shipped.
Compusave has the 9700 AIW P for #323 shipped. Its $30 less than at NewEgg so I'll chance the iffy merchant.

I can't relly tell the difference between the cards after looking at what info I could find. As I understand it, they are pretty similar feature wise with the 9800 being a better OCer and running cooler but not by much. So the real question is - Is the 9800 AIW $70 better than the 9700 AIW P??? I can't find any feature difference.

I'm putting together a multimedia editing box for my brother and intend to use his very nice new high end digital vcam to plumb all the capabilities of AVID Express DV. Otherwise the PC is just a SO/HO workstation which will only see gaming when I visit

I forget, but it has some other features too that were talked about a lot in the CPU Magazine back in June or July. But its supposed to have newer technologies so I would say that money would be well spent. I don't remember exactly what it was but I've seen atleast a few articles about it having new features...
