I'm getting this monitor to replace my MagInnovision 17 incher, because my current monitor only does 1280X1024 at :eek:uch: 60 Hz. I bought a Radeon 64 MB DDR retail, and want all of the glorious 2D and 3D it can provide. Anyway, does anyone have this monitor? I'm getting it at a fantastic price, because my GF works for a computer distributer and the box is messed up on several of these so they can't sell it retail.

It's a flat tube, short neck, and it's max res is listed differently, depending upon where you read the specs. The place I am buying it from says 1736X13..something or otherX70Hz. Compaq says it can do 1940X1440X60Hz. I'm not quibbling, because the highest I'll run it at for normal usage is 1600X1200, but it would be cool to see Q3 at 19(whatever)X1440 for just a second :)

Anybody have experience with this monitor? It retails for $870, and even keeping in mind that this is a major manufacturer type price, do you think it's any good? I'm getting it at an obscene discount.

You didn't say how obscene. :) All the Compaqs that I have seen looked great. If you can get it dirt cheap, I say why not?

Fiddy, I'm paying less than %40 retail for it. You can now imagine why I couldn't pass it up.

Had one of these at work. Worked great, but failed after about 3 years of service.(still sitting there....) Display was nice, but didn't have all the bells and whistles of some of the newer models. Get it if it's cheap.
