CompactFlash-PCMCIA Conversion Adapter Card $12.99 Compusa online/B&M Edit:(not a hot deal)

Compact Flash PCMCIA adapters are cheap because a CF card IS a PCMCIA device with a different pinout. All the adapter card does is match the correct holes up with the PCMCIA slot (no electronics needed). I got one a few months back from Buy.com for $7.99. Target has them for $11.99 in most places too.

Actually one of the local Targets near here has tons of these for less than $2.00 each on final clearance. I think that they were Memorex branded. I figured since they still have so many at the final clearance price that they must have no resell value. Otherwise, the eGay vultures would have snatched them up long ago.

No, this one is not smartmedia.

Icer,

I guess I didn't do my research. I was looking for a Smartmedia one which are more expensive. Not knowing anything about the value of Compactflash, my ignorance led me to believe this was a good deal. I guess not.

Anyone know of Smartmedia ones this cheap?
