So right now I have an Onkyo 705 + Athena/BIC setup in my living room and Onkyo 605+Onkyo Speakers/Sub for the bedroom.

Alas my office audio is a problem these days. Currently in my office I have:

PC w/Altec Lansing 5.1 Computer Speakers and CMOY Headphone AMP + Senheiser HD-555's
Dell 2407 (1920x1200)
Samsung T260HDTV/Monitor (1920x1200 - 2nd monitor for the PC or 2nd TV)
5 yr. old 23"Mitsubishi LCD (1366x768 - This has very good sound actually, its kind of impressive, no digital inputs at all, except a MonLink DVI port that doesn't quite work right)

The problem I am having is two-fold.
1. The Samsung T260HD has a fantastic picture but awful sound (and the equalizer doesn't help), but it does have Optical SPDIF out and can send high quality audio from its clear QAM tuner.

2. I want to be able to hook up my Xbox 360 in the office so I can play on the T260HD and watch TV on the Mitsu at the same time, however I only have a Component + Optical Cable for the 360 at the moment and there is no L/R audio on it (Non HDMI 360).

I figure I could kill 2 birds with one stone if I could find a decent and compact 2.0/2.1 system with SPDIF in, that way the HDTV will have decent sound and I can connect my 360 using the optical out.

I know I could just grab a the component cables with L/R audio for the 360 T260 but if I can find a mini system that can do decent compact SPDIF in I feel like it will be a much better sounding option than using the TV.

Right now the only thing I can really find is the Logitech Z-5500's and I don't really want the side speakers.

Well that amp is the sort of thing I am looking for, but I would prefer it to cost quite a bit less :p

Oh and I also should note, I have 2 Athena LS-100s that I am using as Zone 2 for music while I play video games in my main room (From when I upgraded the fronts to LS-500's). I could probably stick to using those speakers in the office since they get so little use on Zone 2.
