My friend recently lost many pictures and movies files during the burning process over to CD. My question is, is there any possible way to retrieve the data from the Compact Flash card if it has been erased? Some ingenious or clandestine or expensive way to retrieve it?
 
if he hasn't formatted the card, it should be fairly easy to recover using the program WW mentioned. if he has formatted, its still possible, but a bit harder. there are programs to do it, not sure of ZAR does it or not. google "file scavenger"
