compac hard drive(compressed drive)

hey all I took a boot disk and formated and fdisked hard drive but when i try to install windows says theres a compressed drive how do i get of it so i can install windows or get rid of the compressed drive thanks be specific please
 
Hmmm. I just did this about 2 months ago but now can't quite remember how I did it...

You might try running FDISK and removing ALL partitions and then adding the one back. Is it a Western Digital HD? If so, try running their utility.
 
I did a fdisk and format but when i try the 98 boot dsik its say the drive is compressed how do i remove this is a pain in the butt thanks compac !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!wish i just had another small hard drive be easier than this BS hehe but i dont
