i connected my computer to my tv. my video card is geforce 6200+ amd 3200+. i was wondering how i would set it up for my tv to play dvds from my computer and still be able to use my computer for other things including games
you want to be able to play a PC game using your monitor and a DVD movie on a TV at the same time? ain't gonna happen. need a dual-core cpu at the very least to do this. i'm probably misunderstanding you, tho. i'm not sure if you can do a dual-screen config using a TV and a monitor. pretty sure one or the other. so you'll probably have to deal with switching cables around every time you wanna switch.

Nah, dual-monitor with a TV as the second display works just fine (although you're limited to 640x480 or 800x600 on an SDTV, and 800x600 makes text nearly unreadable).
As noted, playing DVDs while playing any remotely graphically intense games is unlikely to work well.
