Comp suddenly lags after putting 19" LCD into portrait mode

Seems like most of the windows menus and bars are laggy after i turned my LCD 90 degrees into portrait mode...and this lag wasn't present in the normal landscape mode a few minutes ago. Am i missing somin??

19" Dell - originally at 1280x1024 ----> 1024 x 1280
amd 3000 @ 2.5
6600GT 128
1 gig ram

yup, lag goes away and goes "back to normal" when i switch back to landscape

The lag is due to conversion of the normal resolution to an interpolated (calculated) resolution.) It's the trade off you chose. It us muchg more of a severe change in a wide screen than with a 4:3.

i guess i figured that since 1280x 1024 is native, 1024 x 1280 was native as well. doh

this is getting annoying, im prob guna switch back to 1280 x 1024
