comp freezes

Hi all,
I have a newly assembled pc and this was my first build. Everything works alright but whenever I run a bittorrent program my comp freezes after about 15-20 mins. This only happens when I run that program. I have tried different clients like bitcoment and utorrent, but the same thing happens.
any help would be appreciated.

Reinstall NIC/LAN driver and/or rollback the driver to the one on the motherboard support cd. The Microsoft update lan drivers reportedly can cause freeze ups with BitTorrent
 
I reinstalled the NIC/LAN drivers that came with the motherboard cd, but the same thing happens. How do I rollback to the previous ones?
