Commercial Plane crashes in Buffalo

Yes very sad, everyone on the plane died and at least one on the ground. Until they get the black boxes, its going to be hard to comment on the cause. But some sort of sudden downdraft could explain it. Otherwise its hard to explain why ground control was not screaming at the plane saying you are coming in too low.

true.. but its not the planes. Usually these types of planes are piloted by less experienced crews. You don't find too many commuter pilots with 17,000 hours in type.

I was just watching a story on this and as it turns out one of the passengers that died is the wife of a guy who died on 9/11. What a story....

News like that pisses me off. Every single person on that plane had a life, why is one or two so special? Because CNN knows that people will eat it up. Give me info on every single passenger that sadly lost their life, or give me none at all.

Irony is ironic. Thats all. Many couples die of cancer. Or natural disaster. Or stroke. Not too many die in seperate plane crahes. Lighten up.

True, but thats not why it made the "news".

I live about an hour from the crash. We had terrible weather yesterday, windy, with a mix of rain/snow/ice falling all day. I imagine the wings iced up and when the flaps deployed, it stalled and just plummeted.

RIP
