Here are the parts I'm thinking of getting. Does anything look amiss? Am I getting the right stuff? It's been awhile since I last put a system together.

you're missing a lot of things before you start calling it a "system."

I'd get better RAM if I were you or, if you're gonna stick with 2700, get 1GB

I will never buy another shuttle barebones. I've had one and the power supply went out three days out of warranty. Tried contacting Shuttle to see if I could get it replaced, and after being put on hold for 45 minutes, finally hung up. I did this THREE times. Never did get through. None of my emails were ever replied to. #$%@ Shuttle!

(can you tell I'm slightly annoyed with them??)

Get an nForce2 chipset motherboard. Don't buy stuff that's already outdated by 3 other products (KT333, KT400, nForce2)... especially for that insane price. Get a good Antec case with a 350 watt power supply and an Epox 8RDA+ for less than $200 total.
Then grab up some PC3200 RAM and an XP2100+ Processor for a real rig.

A cheap case and cheap power supply will annoy the hell out of you. Cheap power supplies have fans that start to rattle after about 6 months, cause reboots and lockups because they can't deliver enough power for all your acessories... and cheap cases have sharp edges that leave scars, very thin aluminum construction that results in a warped case that makes the side panel hard to put on, LED's on the front that get more dim as time goes by, drive bays with holes drilled inaccurately so drives sit tilted when screwed in, and plastic that discolors.

hmm, well, I guess I'm going to wait awhile longer to decide what I'm going to get.

What I'm looking for is quiet, stable, and able to play doom 3 when it comes out.

Get either the Abit AT7-MAX 2 or the Asus A7N8x Deluxe, two very fast mofos and packed with goodies. I'm currently using the Abit AT7-MAX 2 with an Xp 1700+ and it leaves my Abit KT7A-RAID in the dust. The ATI Radeon 7500 AGP is an awesome light gaming card. Go for an 8500 or 9700PRO if you have the cash.

My current system is an Asus A7V w/ 800mhz t-bird. Will my current Antec 300w ps do the job with these new boards?
