I want to get a mid-end gamer pc but i don't want 64 bit. So I am thinking about these specs.
Asus A7N8X E Deluxe
AMD Athlon XP 2500
Zalamn Pure Copper fan
1Gb of Ram ( companies?)
2 Western Digital 36.7 Raptors
1 Western Digital 160GB Caviar
BFG nVIDIDA 6800OC
Plextor 12X DVD Burner
Lian Li PC61

Why not an A64? (bewildered) You can probably dump the unnecessary Raptors (see thing about RAID above, and besides, the 36 GB ones suck) and maybe the HSF and get at least a good S754 setup. Your video card should like that.

I don't want 64 bit because I am researching and I cant find right now any benift and I can just upgrade when Windows XP or Longhorn (probably) 64 bit Edition comes out.

You may as well just get the A64 now, because they run most 32-bit stuff better than all other processors (for quick comparison: A64 2800+ usually >>> AXP 3200+). Consider 64-bit and NX mere bonuses. The AXP is pretty much dead for any kind of gaming midrange and up.

[[rescinded]]

The K8N-E Deluxe (the only one on S754 with an NF3) is overpriced when the Epox nick1985 linked to is mostly the same for less.

In any event, the Raptors are a waste. For the 74 GB models they only improved loading times in games 3-5 seconds; I would imagine there would be even less of an improvement over those with the 36 GB drives, despite the Wallet RAIDing. If you really needed super-fast hard drive space in the first place, you'd already have a ton of SCSI components.

While at it, a fancy Lian-Li case might be overkill for a budget system too (even if they are "the best" in your opinion, you cannot always have "the best" when you are building a midrange rig, or anything with a budget, for that matter!). Check out Antec's SLK series if you're on a budget.

Hate to say it, but truly...... The K8N-E Deluxe (the only one on S754 with an NF3) is overpriced when the Epox nick1985 linked to is mostly the same for less.

Why are people like nick members of these forums seriously? His negative pompous attitude gives this forum a bad name. These forums are to give people advice not to criticize their methods. For real dude.
