I just bought a socketA Gigabyte board. is this brand recommended? or is a little no name thing? or is it the best in the world? haha any comments on it would do fine

Gigabyte is considered world-class. they are one of the top 5 motherboard makers in the world, overall their products are pretty good!
 
I agree with Yield. They make excellent boards and are still the only manufacturer that makes a built-in backup BIOS, so when flashing, you don't have to worry at all. They have excellent support and have constant BIOS updates. Good choice!
 
I tend to favor them when complete stability is the goal. May not have quite as many tweaking options, but stability is not a problem.
 
excellent! cause thats all i'm trying to do is just run a stable system, none of this OCing 300mhz or anything!!

Gigabyte has entered the OCing world with their KT133A mobo and the AMD 760. Gigabytes mobo uses all dips for overclocking which can provide more consistent results than Sof-Menu BIOS Ocing. I rate Gigabyte as the most stable of all mobos, plus the blue is kinda keeewl.
