comments on a new build

Greetings, I"m looking into a new build and I'd appreciate comments on it.
the case is Antec Two Hundred, psu is a antec 550w, there are 4 hdds. all of these are from the previous build.
the following are new:

• cpu: AMD RYZEN7 2700 (Gen2)
• mb: ASUS - PRIME-A320M-A
• memory: HyperX 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 2666Mhz CL16 - 1.2V - 288Pin - HyperX FURY Black DDR4 Series - HX426C16FBK2/32
• gpu: SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon™ RX560 2GB DDR5
• hsf: Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4

any thoughts on this build?
also, does G.Skill Value 2X8GB DDR3 1333Mhz CL9 Kit can be considered good?

First wrong forum; Second how can we evaluate a build without knowing how the system will be used. It looks like a game build with an over powered cpu and under powered gpu ; and borderline psu.

my apologies, I didn't found a more suitable forum.

you are correct, the system will preform compilations, number crunching an run vms at the same time.
occasionally it will be used for mild gaming.
also, it has 5 hdds and will run linux.
this is the current spec:

I personally would question the gpu and psu but i don't really follow amd. A few reviews suggest the 2700x as a better value but that depends on if you are going to overclok. The psu you are suggesting retails for $80 at newegg and is bronze. This one (hx7500) is $99 for platinum.

While 750 watt is overkill for your system; it does offer more efficiency if you run your system 24/7 and some headroom.

The gpu seems like a weak compromise. It is faster than the 2700 discrete but certainly not a gaming gpu such as 1070. I guess it depends on your need.

I can't commetn on the mb or ram. Asus usually cost a bit more (i personally tend towards asrock because i like their bios and price point; but the asus mb i have is just fine). For ram i'm pretty religious towards crucial or gskill - not because they are any better but both have given me good service in the past and I appreciate such.

no, I have no intentions to OC the cpu, thus I see no reason in getting the 2700x

my previous build had a 520w psu and it worked great, I see no reason to get a psu of 750w, the system isn't intended to run 24/7

I'm not gamer, also, linux doesn't offer much games for linux, for the occasional gaming I might do, imho it is more than enough.

I didn't tried asrock, thing is, where I live, the selection range is rather slim.
I like gskills too, but the price diff is noticeable. I assume that it will be enough for my needs

The newest processors fix the security issue in hardware but yet amd didn't have those issues... I'm actually waiting till next year since intel update will be significant. I like AMD but I run a lot of sata devices and have more trust in intel chipset. I see I didn't realize there were differnt ea550 - the ea550-w is bronze. To be honest that is a pretty expensive gold psu but i don't know much about your area with regards to alternative. I use a 450 or 550 in my current system - i forget - but all new upgrades I've been going with platinum or titanium depending on cost and availability. The improvement is only marginal but what the heck...

I think you should get a motherboard with a better VRM and better VRM cooling, such as the MSI B450 Tomahawk. Perhaps a new case with some decent airflow and dust filters too.

unfortunately, that mb doesn't exists where I live.
my current case has good air flow (5 fans) and dust filters

Well, I would still definitely recommend something better than that Asus board for an octacore CPU.

I went and got an GigaByte B450 AORUS M which I saw someone use in a review and it looks like it is what I need (ryzen 2700x + that board) as I don't intend to OC and my case has plenty of ventilation.
my only issue now is the memory compatibility, I want to get a Corsair DDR 4 32G (16Gx2) 3200 CL16 Vengeance LPX Black CMK32GX4M2D3200C16 which I can get in a good price I'm unable to verify if it will work well with the board.

If you are using this for gaming then you should get ryzen 5 2600 and get a better GPU as RX560 is a underperforming GPU. You should aleast have to buy RX570 or RX580
