Hi people,

Is it s good brand?
I see XFX always OC'ed there card.

I am debating to get a XFX or WinFast(Leadtek) (probably 7800GT when money arrives)
... is XFX a really good brand over winfast?
I am going to get the oc'ed version.

Thanks

Good brand... XFX is better than Leadtek in my opinion.

eVGA and BFG are better though.

XFX sucked when it first came out, I've heard horrible stories about customer support. And initial products weren't like the review samples. They may have changed, but Idk. Nobody notes good dealings with customer service that much.

From what I can say about Leadtek is though that I got a faulty card and I had to pay shipping to get it replaced. They responded to my inquiries in a timely manor, but I think since it was their fault, they should have paid for the shipping. But this is still better than overseas support of XFX. Unless they changed it.

BFG is the best when it comes to customer support.

XFX were pretty poor at the start, nasty customer service, poorly built cards (over heating, artifacts) they even sold 6800's with slower memory than others (i remember the 6800GT they sold came with 900Mhz memory)

since then i think they've moved up, i think they are now one of the number 1 nvidia board partners, always seem to get a good supply from nvidia. ive just moved from a leadtek 6800gt to xfx 7800gt's and well, i think the XFX cards are better built IMO. i changed the HSF on the 6800gt for a Zalman VF700, and i was shocked at how baddly the stock HSF was applied.

these XFX 7800's are very well built, single slot copper coolers, a healthy overclock, and solid contstruction....they have a aluminium bar running down the side of the card for support.....very very sturdy. and to top it off....they run 20 degrees cooler with stock cooling than my 6800gt did with its stock cooling. oh....and theyre wisper quiet, even during games

so for me XFX>Leadtek. im having a good experience.

ill back VIAN though, BFG got it down.....the support is supreme.

No prob's with my 6800gt. Doesn't OC very well but otherwise ok.

Is there an issue with the GT's ?

Cool, I'm buying a 7800GTX from them in a few days and was afraid of having problems, but now I'm pretty confident they have come to better.

Proud and new owner of a XFX 7800 GT (see my sig for o/c speed)
Make sure get a NV5 Silencer rev3 for your new XFX.
Mine now runs as quiet as a clam. Well almost;)

They also have a new "double lifetime" warranty...if you sell your card the person who buys it gets an official warranty as well.

Good stuff.

Edit: From what I've seen though, their HSF's aren't the greatest in the world. Effective, but loud. Haven't seen the 7800 series HSF's in person though so couldn't tell ya.

The 7800GTX I'm buying seems to OC to more than 520/1300, which is very very nice... have to see it, in 2 weeks I'll have it but Iwon't OC it, lots of power already at stock :p
